Last 2011, I already expressed my desire to start a veggie garden. That is the reason why I created this blog. Aside from my dream house, I want to blog about my gardening endeavors too. FYI: This blog started June 2011.
My motive why I really wanted to start a garden because I want to have my very own sili garden (chili pepper - the smaller version here in the Philippines). I love to have hot sauces when I eat or hot dishes. In short, I want to have a fresh produce of sili every time I want one. But since I was so busy with life, I was not able to start my garden preparation until last week.
My husband surprised me! He readied my garden plot so that I can just start cultivating and planting. Then, my husband wanted to test drive his gardening theories and spread the sili seeds that I have dried for months now. He wanted to prove he is right about just putting the seeds on top of the ground instead burying it underground. He said that is the natural way how plants germinate and grow. Since he insisted, I let him be. Until now, his seed aren’t growing and I haven’t started cultivating my plot yet. LOL!!
My interest got intense when I saw Sexy Nomad’s garden project last January 2012. She grew fresh veggies from plastic pots in their condo in Manila! I got totally inspired!!!
Oh well, my children and I have decided to make gardening a summer activity. So I guess we need a “good luck” on that. I don’t have a green thumb and I don’t know about my kids. Anyway, I am excited to start. I just need to buy something before I start. I want to plant a successful veggie garden!
